Justin C. Kanter Justin Kanter graduated cum laude from Tulane University in 2006 with a double major in History and Political Science. Thereafter, he attended Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, earning his J.D. cum laude in 2010 and his LL.M. in Taxation in 2011.

At Washington University, Mr. Kanter served as an Associate Editor of the Washington University Journal of Law & Policy and served as a research assistant to several professors, researching subjects ranging from employment law and bankruptcy law to tax law and tax policy.

While in law school, Mr. Kanter gained experience at an international law firm in St. Louis assisting taxpayers in disputes with the IRS and advising tax-exempt organizations on a variety of legal issues, including qualification for exempt status and avoiding the unrelated business income tax. Additionally, he served as an extern to the Missouri Attorney General where he focused on civil rights and employment issues.

Mr. Kanter joined Gaido & Fintzen in 2011. He resides in Chicago and is licensed to practice law in Illinois.
