In September 2001, Mr. Gaido left Stamos & Trucco to start his own law firm with the vision of providing responsive, effective and high quality legal services to individuals, small and medium-size businesses, and tax-exempt organizations. In March 2002, Scott Fintzen joined Mr. Gaido to form Gaido & Fintzen. During his career, Mr. Gaido has served as general counsel to several national and international tax-exempt organizations providing legal guidance and advice on the myriad of issues these organizations face. He is currently legal counsel to more than thirty tax-exempt organizations whose annual budgets range from less than $100,000 to budgets in excess of $100,000,000. Mr. Gaido has also formed and counsels numerous small and medium size for-profit organizations. Mr. Gaido has extensive trial experience, and has represented clients in various administrative proceedings throughout the U.S. and in Puerto Rico. Mr. Gaido has also presented oral arguments in the Appellate Courts of Illinois, First and Fourth Districts, and in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Mr. Gaido has represented physicians across the U.S. and in Puerto Rico, in court and before state medical boards, hospital governing bodies, and other administrative forums, regarding accreditation, credentialing, privileging, and various anti-competitive matters. He is the author of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery’s Privileging Block Informational Packet and Litigation Assistance Informational Packet. Mr. Gaido is also the author of Goo Goo Gaa Gaa: the Baby Talk Dictionary and Phrase Book. Mr. Gaido is admitted to practice law in Illinois.
