David Clark graduated first in his class from Valparaiso University School of Law in 1990 and was the Executive Managing Editor of the Valparaiso University Law Review. As a lawyer and banker, David taught university and law school classes in personal finance and banking law. He also served as an estate planning and tax consultant to other attorneys.
From 1994 through 2006, David was Vice President and Senior Trust Officer of First National Bank of Illinois where he interpreted and administered trust agreements drafted by numerous attorneys. This invaluable experience taught him firsthand the do’s and don’ts of trusts and estate plans.
David’s practice concentrates on trust and estate plans, administration and taxation, probate, and real estate transactions. David’s prior real estate experience includes serving as Plan Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals attorney for the City of Portage, Indiana and town attorney for Dune Acres, Indiana. He has supervised the administration of hundreds of Illinois land trusts.
David is a member of the American, Illinois State, and Indiana State Bar Associations, and treasurer of the Nordic Law Club of Chicago.
He is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Indiana.
